If your child has agreed to come with you for a check-up, you still need to be prepared. Your child may fear pain. This means that he may assume that the doctor will do a procedure which can hurt him. As you all know, children are very imaginative. That’s why it is important to support them all the way. Never leave your child alone. And always give him the assurance that no matter what will happen you are always with him. As much as possible, you should try to involve the child with the activities conducted during the check-up. Like for example, when the doctor asks about what he feels, you can ask your child to write it on a piece of paper. In this way, he will just feel that he is like at school and he is just doing his task.
