When we are stressed out or have some anxiety problems, maybe related to diet issues, work problems or family problems, our body will start to react usually by increasing the heart rate and the sweat production. Once any threatening situation has passed, your body will begin to return to normal as other hormones are released and you may find that you start to shake as your muscles begin to relax. This fight or flight reflex gives you greater clarity and your senses become heightened just in case you need to protect yourself in some way. In modern society, these instinctive responses are not usually due to a life-threatening situation but due to a situation where you feel nervousness or fear. When you experience panic attacks, you feel under attack and therefore go through this flight or fight process sometimes consistently, not allowing your body to ever truly relax because you may always be waiting for the next anxiety attack.
